A green and orange Perseid meteor passing close to the bright star Altair in the constellation of Aquila on 8 August 2026 at 00:34 UT. Captured with a Canon 550D DSLR at 13s exp, 18mm fl, f/3.5, ISO-1600. The second image is of the same meteor but with a fisheye lens (Canon 250D DSLR with 7.5mm fisheye lens at 20s exp, 7.5mm fl, f/3.5, ISO-1600). This shot shows the meteor in the context of the wider Milky Way and the Summer Triangle asterism.
