Details:
Venus will reach its greatest eastern elongation on August 15. Yesterday it set 50 min after the Sun but can you spot it in the picture?
If not, picture nr 2 will certainly give its position away.
At mag. -4.23 Venus is so bright that it can easily be followed all the way down to the horizon using binoculars, even during the bright summer nights we got here in Sweden.
