Had seen a similar shot posted earlier, elsewhere online, and since we were heading down to OBX for a few days, put this shot on my todo list. Did require becoming a mosquito Chia Pet to get the shots!
There was a Park Service building off frame to the right with dim red porch lights that became quite enhanced with a 20 sec time exp.
In last two shots, I was photobombed by a meteor and then a lonely late season firefly calling for a mate-sorry buddy, that ship already sailed.
Canon R5 with EF 24-70 2.8 lens, exposures around 20 seconds.
Found the double flash of the light house was too bright in resulting pics so waited to begin exposures after the first but before second flash in the sequence which then followed with 30 sec of dark. That seemed to put the brightness of the light where it needed to be.
The “photobombed” shots were taken right after moving camera position but neglecting to recheck the focus. (lesson learned) Those two images were slightly defocussed, but hey, it made the stars look bigger. (wink wink)
