Details:
Images of the moon rise from
last evening, August 25th. You can see the smoke layer in the lower left. The smoke creates rings around the moon. The moon appears as a black hole in a time lapse appearing to suck up all the light near it. We've had considerable smoke this summer making imaging difficult.
