Details:
In preparation for the upcoming Total Solar Eclipse on August 12, 2026, the Magnetohydrodynamic (MHD) predictive simulation dataset provided by Predictive Science Inc. (PSI) was processed using the KM MODEL workflow. While standard MHD predictive models give an excellent broad-scale overview of coronal geometry, fine magnetic filaments and dynamic boundaries are often obscured by coronal haze and dynamic range limitations. Key Highlights: Data Source: Predictive Science Inc. (PSI) MHD Corona Prediction (Earth View, Aug 12, 2026). Methodology: HDR dynamic range processing from base data, followed by structural feature extraction via KM MODEL. Output: Enhanced definition of fine coronal streamers, suppression of background haze, and high-contrast geometric field visualization. Original MHD simulation credit: Predictive Science Inc. (PSI).
